Hair Colors are optional cosmetic items for the player's character. With this option, the player can change the hair color of both their avatar and their character before the start of a match.

Each character has 12 hair colors to unlock, which are randomly assorted colors for each character, unlike unit colors which are the same for all. All characters, upon purchase from the shop, have 8 hair colors available in the shop for purchase with Oranges Icon.pngOranges, however, they can also be unlocked from Premium Crate. All other hair colors must be unlocked through a specific method. For dual characters such as Tomato & Mimyuu and Cuties, unlocking any hair color number will unlock it for both characters.

Hair Colors are represented in the cosmetics menu with a HairColorsIcon.png icon.

Special Exceptions

Unlike any other character, Krila's 9th alternate hair color has a unique unlock criteria. Prior to unlocking the hair color, the number itself will be missing from the selection menu. The 9th hair color is unlocked by wearing Krila's Sunglasses Icon.pngSunglasses, and KOing a total of 9 robotic enemies. Enemies that count toward this total include Shifu Robots, Robo Balls, and NoNames.[2]

  • Winning the game is not required to unlock the hair pack and the task can be completed over multiple matches.
  • Both singleplayer and online both count toward this total.

Playable NPCs

The playable enemy characters (Chicken, Robo Ball, Seagull, Store Manager, Shifu Robot, and Flying Castle) are unique in that they do not have any hair colors to unlock at all. The hair color option button therefore are not available to them.

100% Orange Juice Emoticon 100oj.png V1.17
  • Added a new Challenge system:
Players start with 3 daily Challenges to complete, and a new one is unlocked every 24 hours, with a duration of 3 days. Completing a challenge will net you 50 Oranges Icon.pngOranges, which can be used to purchase bonus crates or new hair for characters in the Shop. There are three types of Crates available, which can include hair sets and other unique bonus items. Finishing a multiplayer game will also give you a small number of Oranges Icon.pngOranges.

  • New character hair colors added:
4 new hair colors have been added for each regular character (not the unlockable NPC/boss characters). One of them can be unlocked for each by playing 10 multiplayer games with said character. 3 others can be acquired as drops from multiplayer games.

  • Krila was the first character to have a 10th hair color; as a result, when all characters received 4 additional colors (9-12), Krila only received 3.
  • Krila's white hair color added with the sunglasses appears to be a reference to NieR: Automata, as Krila resembles 2B, one of the game's protagonists, who slays robots.
